IBICI Opaque 30D Pantyhose reviews

IBICI Opaque 30D Pantyhose from Italy

Comfortable with a single-seam gusset, silky and durable, reinforced toes for daily wear. A must-have staple for all seasons, these pantyhose left a strong impression from the moment I wore them.

First Impressions and Materials

It looks quite long when laid flat. This is clearly not made from velvet or spandex-wrapped fibers; they feel more nylon. Highly elastic, but the sizing is precise, and the pantyhose is woven to fit the leg shape, making them effortless to wear.

The labeled thickness is 30D. While they appear opaque when laid flat, wearing them gives a sensation and transparency similar to 20D. The skin remains nicely visible, so if you’re aiming for a sheer, natural effect, make sure to choose a color that matches your skin tone. Once on, in neutral lighting, it’s hard to tell you’re even wearing stockings, but under a light source, there is a soft sheen. The sheen is understated, like the gentle luster of jade, making it appropriate for even formal occasions. The “daily commute” element in the product name is well-deserved—it pairs perfectly with professional attire.

In terms of warmth, these are comparable to 15D velvet stockings. However, because they don’t aim for a densely-woven fabric, they’re much more breathable. Even in temperatures over 30°C, these are bearable if you’re not overly heat-sensitive.

Wearing Experience

The texture feels slightly firm, with a grainy and distinct nylon finish. Despite this, they are not uncomfortable and conform perfectly to the skin. There’s no compressive feeling or tightness; after a while, you may forget you’re even wearing them. Their shape-specific tailoring minimizes creases at the ankles and knees, even with frequent movement. I was initially concerned about the low elasticity causing bagging around the knees (as I squat frequently), but after a day’s wear, no such issue arose. The fabric also rebounds instantly after kneeling, with no deformation.

Although I’ve only worn them for a day, the material gives me confidence in their durability. They don’t rely on high elasticity, so there’s no risk of stretch fatigue causing them to lose shape over time. The texture feels reassuringly sturdy. Even without wearing gloves, my slightly rough hands didn’t cause any snags. On close inspection, there were no loose threads or runs. Additionally, the fabric feels abrasion-resistant and unlikely to pill. While long-term durability remains to be seen, the 30D material already appears much tougher than 15D stockings.

Design Details

The waistband is wide and fits snugly without excessive horizontal stretch. Since the sizing is precise, there’s no need for extra stretch at the waist, which would otherwise lead to rolling even with a wider waistband. The high-waisted design sits about 5cm above the belly button. I find very comfortable. It doesn’t pull or pinch whether you’re walking, sitting, or squatting. The waistband also sits just below the belt line of pants, helping keep it in place.

The single-seam gusset makes suitable for summer wear, even though they’re 30D. For men who wearing pantyhose, I strongly suggest don’t choose extra panel for a comfortable point of view!
